Swedish economist: Sweden could benefit from upcoming Fed action
ChainCatcher news, the economist of ENS Bank in northern Europe stated in a report that as the US economy is expected to have a soft landing, boosting the global economy, Sweden is expected to achieve significant growth in the next few years. The Federal Reserve is expected to cut interest rates from the current high level next month, and some analysts suggest that policymakers may cut rates by 0.5 percentage points, rather than the more cautious 0.25 percentage points. ENS Bank stated that this should increase the momentum in Sweden, as the Swedish central bank has already cut interest rates twice. Lower interest rates and taxes will promote the growth of domestic output, said Jens Magnusson, the chief economist of the bank, according to the latest forecast, domestic output will grow by 2.6% in 2025, and 2.9% the following year. After all, the US economic recession can be avoided, which will benefit the entire global economy.
