ChainCatcher news, according to Coindesk, the U.S. State Department has offered a $5 million reward for clues to arrest OneCoin founder Ruja Ignatova. The new reward is provided under the State Department's Transnational Organized Crime Reward Program, increasing the $250,000 reward previously offered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

It is reported that Ruja Ignatova, who once called herself the "Queen of Crypto", disappeared in Athens in 2017. Ruja Ignatova will be prosecuted in absentia for her involvement in the crypto Ponzi scheme, which stole about $4 billion from global investors between 2014 and the collapse in early 2017.
