On June 25, the Cardano network suffered a DDoS attack aimed at reducing fees for high-value transactions. If the attack had succeeded, the attacker could have stolen ADA staking tokens. 😱

Cardano developers, including Philip Disarro, founder and CEO of Anastasia Labs, outwitted the attacker, returning the stolen ADA tokens and stopping the DDoS attack.

As a result, the attack was stopped and the attacker was unable to move any stolen funds.

The developers are currently working on a node update that could prevent similar DDoS attacks in the future.
