According to Foresight News, The Block reported that the official X account of the legendary American heavy metal band Metallica was suspected to be hacked by an unknown entity. On June 16, it posted a message promoting the Solana token with the code METAL, claiming that the token (launched using the Solana token deployer Pump.fun) was made in cooperation with Ticketmaster. Currently, all posts mentioning the token have been deleted. MoonPay President Keith A. Grossman retweeted Metallica's X account, urging readers to be careful and pointing out that "MoonPay does not support METAL on Solana."
