On June 25, the Ethereum layer-2 Blast network team announced the launch of an airdrop for early users on June 26. 17% of the total supply will be airdropped, 7% of which will go to users who transfer Ether (ETH) or US Dollar Blast (USDB) to the network. Another 7% will go to those who have "contributed to the success of DApps [decentralized applications]" on Blast, and 3% will go to the Blur Foundation for future airdrops for their community. 🚀

According to analytics platform L2Beat, Blast is the fourth-largest Ethereum layer-2 network by total value locked (TVL), which has grown to more than $2.9 billion since its launch in November.

Some Blast users expressed dissatisfaction with the vesting requirement for top 1000 wallet owners.
