Uzbekistan's National Agency for Perspective Projects (NAPP) has clarified that playing the Hamster Kombat game on Telegram is not illegal. The agency stated that the game's in-game coins are not cryptocurrencies and do not have real-world value, thus they are not subject to regulation. However, selling these tokens could become problematic due to local regulations. Gamers will only be allowed to sell their tokens once they are approved as a crypto asset and listed on a regulated national exchange. The announcement comes after reports of a man being imprisoned for selling in-game tokens.
