A large number of DEX Screeners perfectly demonstrated tonight what it means to use one's own weaknesses to attack the opponent's strengths.

The following content is all based on a Degen’s perspective and may be too focused. Considering that I wrote it in a hurry, please forgive me.

TLDR, Moonshot (hereinafter referred to as MS) has no innovation, but has many defects, which directly led to some dog dealers being kicked off the table, making the pie smaller.

The large traffic volume is an advantage that is obvious to everyone, but it has not made good use of this advantage. Let’s only talk about its shortcomings:

Let’s first talk about where DEX is short (4-5 are more important)

1. Data flow efficiency (dex data updates are slow, as you know if you are a Degen);

2. Transaction capabilities (always connected to a third party);

3. MetaData is not displayed before MS launch, which equals to 0 exposure before launch;

4. Lack of social interaction and no comments (Pumpfun’s comments are the root cause of the “CTO scam”);

5. The launch history cannot be easily traced back (the only fairness is gone).

I won’t talk about 1 and 2, these are only for traders and do not affect the fundamentals. And Pump has always relied on third parties to solve it.

What about the real foundation of the platform - the dog dealer group?

3 directly drove some rural dog dealers off the table, while 4,5 further weakened the appeal of MS to dog dealers, which will be explained in detail below.

3. MetaData is not displayed before MS launch

From the perspective of Launchpad, the golden 5m of the dog dealer is completely wasted, and some small-capital dog dealers are kicked off the table (of course this does not affect the Cabal's game). In addition, Degen cannot obtain information from MS, and the early traffic of MS will be greatly reduced.

Moreover, the Enhanced Token Info sent after the launch reduced the "trust scam" link, and part of the CTO Xiao Gou Zhuang was kicked off the table.

4. Lack of social interaction and no Comments

The only communication channel for retail investors is gone, and some dog dealers that rely on in-market publicity have been removed from the table.

At the same time, the absence of Comments also means that there is almost no possibility of CTO on the market, which also means that another part of the rural dog dealers have been removed from the table, and the "CTO scam" cake has become smaller.

5. Launch history cannot be easily retraced

It has nothing to do with the dog dealer, but it determines the enthusiasm of retail investors to participate.

The launch history cannot be easily traced back, which is the foundation of PumpFun’s fairness, and this is also the reason why the inner disk launch can be called "fair".

Because what we want is not fairness, but the appearance of fairness. Whether it is RUG or not is not the key, but whether I know it is RUG.

Just like entering a casino, I can tell at a glance whether I am about to play slots or blackjack.

PUMP locks all records before the launch, and you can easily check them anytime you want by flipping through the PUMP trades records (before that you could only trace back through some third-party tools or Solcan, which would consume a lot of time).

Whether it is a Cabal launch or a CTO launch, or it is controlled by a dog dealer, anyone who does not have on-chain data capabilities can easily understand it and then think about whether to intervene.

That's fair!

The thinking process becomes very simple, further strengthening the traders' willingness to participate in trading (gamblers start gambling).

To sum up, MS only did subtraction on PumpFun's original cake and kicked out some dog houses.

As for the traffic value, it is not well integrated into the Pump gameplay, and whether MS launches or not will not change the overall interaction logic of Dex.

LaunchPad (in a broad sense) has always relied on the method of surrounding the city from the countryside to achieve success, starting from Uniswap and now PumpFun.

First we must unite the people, then we can enjoy the dividends in the end.

MS's behavior of making small cakes, driving away rural dog dealers/small retail dealers, just to monopolize the market's surplus value, really cannot be considered as a good game.

Without these people, the Cabal will have less and less meat to eat.

No one wants to see this kind of "fair" ending.

Hopefully the next Pump challenger will be smarter, above.
