📉 Mt. Gox, the cryptocurrency exchange that lost 850,000 Bitcoin investors in 2024, will begin paying out its former users.

According to a June 24 exchange filing, the Mt. Gox will begin the process of paying out in Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) from July 2024.

“The rehabilitation curator will begin payments in Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash to cryptocurrency exchanges with which the curator has completed the exchange and confirmation of the necessary information to make payments,” the statement said.

The curator again asks users to be patient, adding that the payment procedure will depend on the relevant cryptocurrency exchange.

"We will begin payments on a first-come, first-served basis to the cryptocurrency exchanges with which the rehabilitation supervisor will complete the exchange and confirmation of the required information. Please allow some time until the payments are made."
