According to TechFlow, Japanese listed company Metaplanet said its board of directors has approved it to use approximately US$6.26 million (1 billion yen) to increase its holdings of Bitcoin. The funds will come from the issuance proceeds of the company's second tranche of ordinary bonds (with guarantees).

The bonds have an annual interest rate of 0.5%, will be delivered on June 26, 2024, and mature on June 25, 2025, according to an official announcement.
