📚 The Vatican Library, in partnership with NTT DATA Italia, uses blockchain technology to preserve its extensive collection of manuscripts. The Vatican Library Web3 Support Project aims to expand the library's online community and attract support through modern technology.

🔗 The library, which houses approximately 180,000 manuscripts and more than 1.5 million printed books, will distribute non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to donors and social media users.

💡 This pilot project is currently limited to residents of Italy, but a trial phase was launched in Japan in February 2023.

🎁 Those who support the project financially receive a “Gold NFT” that gives them access to high-quality images of all 21 manuscripts in the collection.

🎉 To date, 419 users have received NFTs powered by Polygon, demonstrating the practical benefits of blockchain technology in preserving cultural heritage.
