Billionaire and investor Mark Cuban said he lost access to his Gmail account after falling victim to a scam. This happened just a few months after more than $800,000 was stolen from his cryptocurrency wallet. 😲
“I just got hacked at mcuban@gmail.com because someone named Noah called and said I had a hack and tampered with Google's recovery methods,” Cuban wrote on June 22.
The incident comes nine months after Cuban's hot wallet was emptied of approximately $870,000, possibly by hackers who were waiting for him to log into MetaMask for the first time in months.
Meanwhile, Cuban has become a vocal cryptocurrency advocate, particularly regarding more favorable cryptocurrency regulation in the US.
