#BlockchainNewsFlash# Aleph Zero, a privacy-enhanced public blockchain running on the Substrate stack, announced the launch of zkOS, an EVM-compatible privacy layer. This freshly-baked privacy layer can generate zero-knowledge proofs on consumer devices in less than a second and is now live on the testnet. According to the development team Parity Technologies, zkOS allows private transactions and dApp interactions without leaking underlying data, uses Halo2 to generate faster proofs, and also provides zkToolkit to simplify developer integration. According to tests, zkOS can execute proofs on a MacBook in 600-800 milliseconds. The goal of zkOS is to be faster, more user-friendly, and easier for developers to integrate into Ethereum applications. What do you think of this new privacy layer?
