The Supreme Court of Nigeria announced that it dismissed a case filed by Binance regional manager Nadeem Anjarwalla. Anjarwalla claimed that Nigerian government agencies violated his fundamental rights by arresting him and taking his passport.

The case was filed against the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). However, it was rejected by judge Inyang Ekwo due to "lack of careful litigation".

Anjarwalla's petition sought to have the agencies' actions declared illegal. However, Binance lawyer Tonye Krukrubo requested to withdraw the case at the same time as the lawsuit.

This case is part of a larger conflict linked to the arrest of Tigran Gambaryan, Binance's head of financial crime compliance, who traveled to the country from the United States to participate in Binance's defense against tax evasion and money laundering charges.

Independently of Anjarwalla, Gambaryan filed a lawsuit against the NSA and EFCC on the same grounds. Gambaryan's complaint will be heard on July 9. Anjarwalla remains in Kenya, where Nigeria is trying to extradite him.
