Old Wine Trading Diary: Daily Interpretation 6.19

① Intraday ultra-short-term pressure: 65800

If it breaks through 65800, it will go to 66300. Once it does, it will fluctuate upward. Same as yesterday's view.

②Intraday ultra-short-term support: 64600-64800

If we can't hold this position, I'm afraid there will be another shallow exploration.

Summary: From this moment on, the more it falls, the more greedy I will be. Unless a big negative line teaches me a lesson.

Why did the cryptocurrency market fall today??!

Ethereum developer Consensys said in a post on June 19 that the SEC Enforcement Division has notified us that it is closing its investigation into Ethereum 2.0. This means that the SEC will not bring securities trading charges for the sale of ETH, which the company called a major victory for Ethereum developers, technology providers, and industry participants.

Consensys said the SEC’s decision came after it sent the agency a letter on June 7 asking whether it would end its investigation into ethereum after the regulator approved the company’s launch of spot ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in May, which the company said were “premised on ETH as a commodity.”

Consensys senior legal counsel Laura Brookover shared the SEC’s response letter to the company, which stated that the agency “does not intend to recommend enforcement action.”

In March, Fortune reported that the SEC had issued subpoenas to multiple companies in connection with attempts to label ETH a security.

ConsenSys sued the SEC in April, shortly after it received a Wells notice from the SEC warning that its MetaMask crypto wallet may have violated securities laws.

The lawsuit alleges that the SEC and its chairman, Gary Gensler, have considered ETH to be a security since at least early 2023. Consensys claims that SEC Enforcement Director Gurbir Grewal approved a formal order on March 28, 2023, to investigate Ethereum’s security status.

The company said in its latest post that the lawsuit is still ongoing.
