According to Techub News, the cryptocurrency wallet marked by Arkham as the "German Government BKA" transferred 6,500 bitcoins worth about US$425 million to the address starting with bc1q0 today. The address then transferred 2,500 of the bitcoins to the address starting with bc1qq. The new address was divided into 500 bitcoins each, and a total of 2,000 bitcoins were transferred in four transactions. Two transactions sent bitcoins to Kraken and Bitstamp, while the other two were transferred to unmarked private addresses.
Currently, the address marked as "German Government" still holds 43,359 bitcoins, worth about $2.83 billion. Arkham tweeted in February that the German Federal Criminal Police (BKA) seized nearly 50,000 bitcoins from the operators of the movie piracy website Movie2k, which was active in 2013.
