Helium Mobile, a decentralized wireless phone provider powered by the Helium Network, has achieved another major milestone.

On Tuesday, the platform launched its tech stack licensing program, targeting device manufacturers. Helium Mobile believes this one step in the right direction as the company looks to offer global access to affordable and cost-effective wireless connectivity.

The tech stack licensing program allows for a collaborative ecosystem where device manufacturers are integral to the quest to transform a $3.1 trillion industry, the Helium Mobile team noted in a press release sent to crypto.news.

Bringing wireless service to real people is at the center of this licensing program, a significant shift that will see users get rewarded for their work.

“We believe that access to the internet is a basic human right, and for many people that access is through a smartphone. Enabling other manufacturers to leverage our technology will help accelerate a global wireless infrastructure revolution. This initiative is about empowering individuals and communities, driving progress, and building a more connected world,” Helium Mobile CEO Amir Haleem said.

Helium Mobile’s solution for network builders

According to Helium Mobile, third-party manufacturers will gain access to infrastructure and ecosystem with robust security, including features such as TrustZone, Secure Boot, and Full Disk Encryption.

Device manufacturers can also leverage Helium Mobile’s tech stack for expedited integration with decentralized connectivity solutions. Tech stack features include firmware integration, access to Helium Mobile Builder App (for seamless connectivity to the Helium Network) and the Helium Mobile Hotspot Dashboard (for real-time network management and monitoring).

Helium Mobile will also provide customer support, with interested device manufacturers encouraged to contact the team to learn more.

MNTD. first Helium Mobile vendor

MNTD., a Web3 company focused on crypto hardware devices, recently became the first third-party manufacturer with Helium Mobile inside. The firm has manufactured the largest share of MOBILE Hotspot deployed on the Helium Network.

Earlier this year, Nova Labs and Telefónica, a leading telecommunications services provider, teamed up to launch Helium Mobile Hotspots in Mexico. Meanwhile, the Solana Pay’s launch on Shopify allowed holders of the MOBILE token to purchase Hotspots among other items on Helium Mobile.

In another key development, Helium Mobile recently released an update to its Helium Mobile Builders app for Android and iOS, introducing new features for optimizing coverage, troubleshooting and data transfer breakdowns.
