PANews reported on June 18 that X platform user @Easy17182589 (soEasy) said on the X platform that he had discovered the problem of cheating within Zksync in September last year and had been tracking the problem. The user said that he had published all the collected data on GitHub and Mirror. The data included on-chain hash values, addresses, ZKSync team members, and their use of privileged access to make profits. Through interaction, they obtained nearly 50 million ZK tokens.

In the github document, the user mentioned that the conditions for obtaining the NFT (LIBERTAS OMNIBUS) officially issued by Zksync before were that the eligible addresses included those who interacted with the Mainnet launch and at least 100 ZKSYNC NFT collections before July 12 last year. The user said that this group of insider trading was an official member who used the contract authority to mint NFTs given to their own addresses. These addresses did not meet the official rules: those who interacted with at least 150 ZKSYNC NFT collections before July 12, and these addresses did not trade NFTs before July 12, but minted directly. The user also listed two groups of addresses. The first group of addresses used contract authority to add whitelists, directly added addresses that did not meet the mint conditions to the contract, and then minted. After they minted the NFTs, 270 addresses sold them in element to make profits.

The user listed a second group of addresses, saying that these addresses used the contract permissions to mint NFTs by the contract founder address, and then received airdrops, creating the (LIBERTAS OMNIBUS) NFT contract address 0x526a599f58f1e5ba4a1c5c14c723698b2a7b0791. This address used the contract permissions batchMint and safeMint to forge a large number of NFTs to its own multiple addresses. After they minted the NFTs, 65 addresses sold NFTs in element to make profits. Among this group of addresses, 22 addresses received airdrops of 412,738 ZKs. The creator of the NFT contract used the contract authority to batchMint a large amount of (LIBERTAS OMNIBUS) to 9,871 addresses, and 4,685 addresses received airdrops, with a total of 43 million ZK. There were 109 addresses with the upper limit of 100,000 zk addresses. This is a very large internal illegal means of obtaining tokens. The team does not need to wait for the unlocking of shares and can use this method to conduct arbitrage in advance.

The user said: "Based on the above evidence, it can be seen that the internal team members of the zksync project are corrupt. The core of this airdrop that caused such a big stir is the opacity of the airdrop rules. In order to cover up the internal cheating addresses, a lot of users were sacrificed. I disclosed in December 23 that the scandal of former employee seb, the head of the DeFi ecosystem, and the ecological project Syncus DAO. Seb promised to give a large number of ecological airdrops to the ecosystem, but he had to return some tokens to him."
