Whales Withdraw Ethereum Assets from Exchanges: ATH Spotted!

The movements of Ethereum (ETH) whales on and off the exchanges attracted attention.

On-chain analysis platform Santiment examined the accumulation and distribution activities of exchange and off-exchange Ethereum whales. In the investigation, it was understood that the 100 most voluminous Ethereum whales on the exchanges sold their Ethereum assets over time or withdrew them from the exchange.

This data dropped below the all-time low in May 2018, creating a new ATL. The 100 largest Ethereum whales on the exchanges have only 8.41 million ETH left. Analysts stated that this was due to whales probably withdrawing their assets outside the exchange and into a private wallet.

The top 100 Ethereum wallets on exchanges recently fell below their all-time low in May 2018 and now total 8.41 million ETH. This is a sign of increasing dispersion over time.

Whales outside the stock market tell the opposite story

Another data confirming the analysts' thesis came from non-exchange Ethereum whales. The holdings of the 100 largest over-the-counter Ethereum whales continue to increase linearly over time, hitting an all-time high of 68.39 million ETH:

Meanwhile, the top 100 non-exchange wallets tell the opposite story, with 68.39 million ETH at an all-time high.
