According to ChainCatcher, the Korean media Financial News reported that the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet and Security Agency (KISA) will jointly launch a blockchain support plan in 2024. The two agencies plan to invest 20 billion won (about 14.5 million US dollars) to develop public blockchain services and promote the commercialization of blockchain company products. Public blockchain projects supported by the plan include digital coupons, digital badges and online voting systems related to central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
