Discussing the possibilities of digital assets in everyday life, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin allowed the use of zero-knowledge proofs (ZKP) and other blockchain technologies.

In his opinion, ZKP mechanisms can be used to verify “identity, credentials or reputation.”

For cross-border payments, it is permissible to use cryptocurrency P2P platforms, which in this cycle have improved the interface and reduced commissions, the developer believes.

Buterin saw promise in decentralized social networks. In addition, he highlighted prediction markets that are already actively used.

The co-founder of Ethereum proposed integrating ZKP into enterprise applications to improve data security. The programmer also allowed the technology to be used in voting to make it censorship-resistant.

Buterin’s interlocutor under the nickname 0xDesigner wondered why meme coins retain the dominant narrative in the current fast-growing market:

“Each cycle expanded the functionality and scope of cryptocurrencies: decentralized and tamper-proof assets, P2P and cross-border payments, programmable money, financial services without restrictions,” he wrote.

However, 0xDesigner did not find any benefit in meme coins and was disappointed in their future potential, since all the design concepts for such coins turn out to be “forced” and without real benefit.

Previously, Buterin criticized celebrities’ experiments with meme coins. He called for a focus on projects with a focus on public benefits rather than enriching insiders.

Let us recall that in May the developer listed five architectural solutions of the Ethereum blockchain, which he would like to change if possible.#binance
