Jeremy Ryan filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California, claiming that the social network caused damage to his business creating NFTs based on the Binance Smart Chain blockchain. The artist claims that he started creating collectible tokens while trying to cope with a serious illness - brain cancer. The digital works of art created by NFT Demon received support from American wrestler John Cena and rapper Snoop Dogg.

NFT Demon called X's content moderation policies inconsistent and arbitrary. The platform team did not bother to name the reason for the blocking and did not provide any clear explanation, the plaintiff claims. Ryan filed 13 support complaints in an attempt to protect the main NFT Demon account, but never received a response from X.

In total, Ryan filed eight lawsuits against X Corp, accusing Elon Musk of violating the user agreement, unjust enrichment, false promises and unfair business practices. NFT Demon demanded about $75,000 in damages from the platform.

“It is common for Platform X to ban accounts associated with cryptocurrencies and NFTs without any explanation. Some accounts featured coins that the billionaire who bought the social network Twitter (NYSE:TWTR) was personally interested in. Musk has repeatedly spoken about freedom of speech. It turns out that the platform and its CEO are contrary to the official content moderation policy,” the lawsuit says.
