According to TechFlow, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has partnered with the Bank of Canada to launch a new innovation center in Canada.

The center will be dedicated to exploring the development of new technologies to promote the inclusion and efficiency of the financial system. Key areas of focus include central bank digital currencies, green finance, cybersecurity, open finance, innovation for regulatory and supervisory purposes, and next-generation financial market infrastructure.

The Governor of the Bank of Canada said the collaboration was important to foster innovation in the region, while the Managing Director of the BIS expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration with the Bank of Canada.
