According to two sources, ETF issuers are still waiting for a response from the SEC after submitting the first round of draft S-1 documents on May 31.

Issuers had been expecting the SEC to comment on the draft documents on June 7. However, at least two issuers have not heard anything yet. One source said they now expect to receive comments this week.

SEC Chairman Gary Gensler previously said that approving the S-1 filing "will take some time," and it is unclear how long that process will take. Sources previously said the S-1 filing is expected to go through at least two more rounds of draft filings before it is ready.
