Odaily Planet Daily News Taiko Protocol was launched at the end of May, aiming to provide users with cheaper and faster transactions than the Ethereum mainnet. Since its launch, Taiko has spent up to $900,000 in less than two weeks to purchase Blobs to transfer users' transactions to the Ethereum network, while its competitors such as Optimism's average daily Blob fee expenditure is basically less than $1,000. Blob was launched as part of the Ethereum upgrade in March. It is a new resource for the L2 network that can publish Ethereum transactions at a lower cost. Daniel Wang, CEO of Taiko Labs, explained: "Taiko has just launched the mainnet, and there are still many things to be solved before it is stable. It currently uses more blobs than other L2s. This is a design decision, but not a bug." (Decrypt)
