ChainCatcher news, Franklin Templeton CEO Jenny Johnson said in response to the question of "how do you view cryptocurrency":

“Progress in cryptocurrencies should not be ignored because there are real companies being built on first-tier platforms like Ethereum, Solana, and Cardano that will compete with traditional companies.

For example, today when you search on a search engine, you have all the economic benefits. If in the future you can own your information, tokenization will allow you to do that, you can imagine. There is actually a company that pays you in their currency when you search. As long as there is the ability to exchange it into fiat currency, it has value.

This could threaten some of the old models because it allows people to almost become part of the network. As you grow the network, you get paid like a shareholder, which changes the relationship between asset owners and their assets.”
