According to TechFlow, the South Korean Ministry of Justice announced the formulation of the "Partial Amendment to the Regulations on the Scope of Crimes Initiated by Prosecutors", which will include virtual asset crimes in the direct investigation scope of prosecutors.

South Korean prosecutors will directly investigate economic crimes, including those related to the Virtual Asset User Protection Act. The bill is designed to protect virtual asset users and came into effect on July 19. Violators may face more than one year in prison or a fine.
