PANews reported on June 6 that the European Central Bank cut interest rates by 25 basis points as expected, lowering the three major interest rates to 4.25%, 3.75% and 4.50% respectively. This was the first rate cut since 2019 and the second central bank among G7 member countries to cut interest rates.

According to Jinshi data, traders maintained their expectations for a rate cut by the European Central Bank, with another 40 basis points cut expected this year.
