Will There Be a Tax on Crypto and Borsa Istanbul in Turkey?
Stating that they do not foresee profit-based taxation on crypto assets and stocks, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek said, "A very limited transaction tax is on our agenda."
Şimşek's statement to Bloomberg on the subject is as follows:
* Our goal is to ensure justice and efficiency in taxes and to leave no area untaxed. In this context, the only thing we can say at this stage about the tax package we are working on is; We do not foresee a profit-based tax on crypto assets and stocks. A very limited transaction tax is on our agenda.
Tax probably will be like this;
0.02% tax per transaction at Borsa Istanbul.
0.04% transaction tax on cryptocurrency.
