[Ethereum Whale Moves $32M ETH to Major US Exchange: What Happened? 】

An unidentified Ethereum ICO participant has transferred 8,518 ETH (worth approximately $32.51 million) in two batches to the address of major US-based exchange Kraken, a transfer that has attracted high attention and speculation in the market. According to public information, the whale’s address “0x771” still holds 14,644 ETH, worth approximately US$55.91 million. During the ICO, this large holder received 100,000 ETH from address "0xc348" when the price of the mainstream token was $0.311.

The whale sold some of his Ethereum within a year of the July 2015 ICO and then remained silent until reactivating three months ago, moving 29,519 ETH to his current address. Since then, the unidentified Ethereum address has transferred tokens to Kraken twice, including once just today.

This investor may have decided to lock in profits from his token. Since the ICO, the price of the major token has increased by 1,228,387%. If this investor had not sold all 100,000 ETH during this period, he would have made a profit of $349.7 million.

Historically, this whale behavior has often been viewed as a bearish signal, often leading to increased market volatility. However, Ethereum price is up 0.8% today, leaving it just 7% away from its all-time high. Whether this incident will trigger more whales to return to the market remains to be seen, but currently market demand and confidence in Ethereum remains strong.
