Engineer who dumped €168 million in Bitcoin in landfill calls for urgent help from NASA

Ten years ago, computer engineer James Howells threw away a hard drive containing 8,000 bitcoins without remembering its million-dollar contents. Now, desperate to get it back, he has asked NASA for help and has deployed robot dogs to explore the dump where he believes his "treasure" may be found.

Howells, whose research investment is estimated at nearly €11 million, is determined to dig a landfill in Newport, UK. If successful, he promised to donate 10% of his profits to build a cryptocurrency center in the country. This accident happened in 2013, when cryptocurrency was in its infancy. At their peak, Howells' 8,000 bitcoins were worth almost half a billion euros. #BTC☀️ #Write2Earrn
