🔥On May 29, the US Treasury will begin implementing a public debt buyback program. This is the Ministry of Finance's plan to reduce the government's public debt burden. Specifically, on May 29, the Treasury will carry out a buyback of debt securities that they previously issued.
The plan will be implemented until July 2024, with the Treasury expected to repurchase weekly up to $2 billion in nominal securities and up to $500 million in denominated securities. Treasury inflation protection (#TIPS ).
