Altcoin Targeting Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana Trio Draws Reaction

The advertisement published for Algorand, one of the Layer 1 projects, drew reaction from cryptocurrency supporters.

In the advertisement published by the Algorand Foundation the other day, the trio of Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana were targeted.

In the ad, when a shopper wants to pay with Bitcoin, the cashier tells her that this transaction will take 27 minutes. It is said that someone who wants to pay with Ethereum must pay a transaction fee of $112. Someone who wants to use Solana cannot pay because there is a transaction error.

The camera then turns to someone making a transaction with Algorand, and it is emphasized that quick payments can be made with Algorand for low transaction fees.

Algorand Foundation's video sparked controversy among the cryptocurrency community. “Non-crypto people will get a negative impression and won't even know this ad is for crypto,” said Zach Rynes, one of Chainlink supporters.
