According to an announcement released by cryptocurrency exchange OKX on Friday (24th), after careful consideration of business development prospects, it decided to withdraw OKX HK’s virtual asset service provider (VASP) license application. Starting from May 31 this year, OKX will stop providing centralized virtual asset trading services to Hong Kong users in accordance with regulatory requirements.

According to the announcement, after May 31, OKX will only support Hong Kong users to withdraw coins. OKX Web3 (self-hosted wallet) product services will not be affected and will continue to provide services to Hong Kong users. OKX also reminds Hong Kong users not to deposit any funds into OKX accounts after May 31.
