#FSL , the company behind the popular "Move-to-Earn" game, is launching a new version called #Stepn Go.

The improved application introduces various social elements to the existing game based on #Solana . They generally improve the user experience on iOS and Android.

New social features in Stepn Go

Building on the success of the original Stepn app, which rewards players with crypto tokens for physical activity from 2021, Stepn Go aims to further develop the Move-to-Earn concept. The original app boasts over 5.6 million users and partnerships with brands such as Adidas and Asics.

One of the standout features is the “Haus System”. This allows owners of #NFT to lend their digital sneakers to others and share crypto rewards. This makes it easier for new users to join the platform without purchasing an NFT first.

The app includes an interactive map so players can see other users and leave messages. Additionally, the player versus player (PvP) mode allows users to compete and earn the FSL ecosystem token, $GMT

#FSL co-founder Yawn Rong emphasized the community's role in these events.

“The community has been asking for community features since Stepn's inception. We are excited to reveal these new features that will make Stepn Go widely available,” said Rong.

Stepn Go offers a new token, Go Gaming Token (GGT), which users can earn through physical activity. This token provides another incentive for users to stay active and engaged with the app. The original Stepn app will continue to operate, rewarding users with cryptocurrency for walking, jogging or running in NFT sneakers.

Improvements and new roadmap

In response to user feedback, Stepn Go includes several community-suggested improvements. The app's "interactive map" improves user interaction by enabling connections between players, including adding friends and exchanging messages during activity.

The alpha version of Stepn Go will debut in Q3 2024. During this launch, there will be a Sneaker NFT Alpha prize draw, in which FSL will give away 5,000 digital sneakers to community members who pledge their GMT tokens.

Jerry Huang, another co-founder of FSL, noted its accessibility:

“The launch of Stepn Go means opening up the Web3 space to newcomers without the need to set up a wallet or make initial NFT purchases. This makes fitness both enjoyable and rewarding.”

The roadmap includes some exciting features that will be rolled out gradually. Users can expect customizable avatars and outfits, an energy system to maintain economic sustainability, and the ability to earn GGT by engaging in physical activity. Stepn Go's innovative features and community-centric approach are set to revolutionize the Move-to-Earn sector, making it more interactive and rewarding.
