💥HOT: Donald Trump Will Accept Cryptocurrency for His Election Campaign

LATEST: Former US President Donald Trump, currently facing criminal charges in four regions of the country, has announced his 2024 presidential campaign will accept cryptocurrency donations through Coinbase Commerce.

The campaign will accept Bitcoin, ETH, SOL, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu and ZRX. The announcement criticized Senator Elizabeth Warren for her attacks on cryptocurrency, accusing her of being President Joe Biden's “official representative” in Congress.

During a dinner on May 8, Trump promised holders of his non-fungible tokens would be able to donate in cryptocurrency. Trump is currently the leading candidate of the Republican Party for the 2024 US presidential election, expected to face President Biden, the presumptive candidate of the Democratic Party.

On May 15, Trump responded to a challenge from President Biden, agreeing to meet on June 27 and September 10 for televised debates on CNN and ABC.

Although the terms have not yet been finalized, the debates could mark the first time the two candidates face each other directly since 2020, when Trump lost the election to Biden.

Despite accepting cryptocurrency donations, Trump's 'issues' page on his campaign website did not specifically mention digital assets or blockchain at the time of publication.

President Biden rarely makes public statements about cryptocurrencies but signed an executive order to establish a regulatory framework for digital assets in 2022.
