Reasons to participate

Monad was developed by the Pyth and Solana teams over a period of more than two years and is a high-performance L1 public chain compatible with Ethereum. According to the official documentation, Monad defines itself as a high-performance L1 compatible with EVM using the PoS mechanism, aiming to create a new paradigm of public chain possibilities through pipeline execution of Ethereum transactions.

On the evening of April 9, 2024, Monad Labs announced the completion of a $225 million financing led by Paradigm, with participation from Electric Capital and Greenoaks. As the most anticipated project in the Layer1 track, Monad, which focuses on the concept of "Parallel EVM", hopes to introduce a "parallel processing" execution layer expansion solution to significantly improve network execution efficiency while being 100% compatible with all EVM byte symbols.

summary

Monad is one of the projects with the largest financing scale this year, and is on the same level as Wormhole, Layer0 and zkSync. Currently, Monad is still in its early stages and has no open testnet. It is worth entering Discord to get an early role. At the same time, pay attention to the dynamics of its ecological projects, such as Elixir, which is worth considering because of its good financing background.

Interactive Tutorial

According to relevant information, a certain share of token airdrops will be given to testnet participants in the future. Therefore, it is worth participating in the interaction at 0 cost.

STEP 1. Add the test network to ChainList (click here to jump to the link)

STEP 2. Receive test tokens (click here to jump to the link): Connect your wallet and select the Optimism Sepolia test network to receive 0.05 ETH

STEP 3. Go to the official website, connect your wallet and Discord account (you need to enter the official Discord to pass the authentication, click here for the link), then click "Faucet Points by gaming" below

Due to the popularity of the project, the test network has failed, so the activity is currently on hold. But first, let me explain what we will do next, so that we can complete the second phase of the test network as soon as it is open again.

1. Click "Faucet Points by gaming" and there will be a turntable. Click "SPIN" to get Polymer Points. The turntable can be turned once every 5 minutes. Repeat this operation to get more Polymer Points.

2. Get enough Polymer Points and start claiming NFTs (click here for the link). Each NFT has a corresponding points requirement, which are 10, 50, 150, and 500 PolyP2 points. (You can also spend 30 points each time and click "Claim Random NFT" above to get a random NFT)

3. Get more points: If you get all 4 NFTs, you can get 2,000 points. You can only have 4 NFTs at the same time, so you can get 20% of the points back by burning the extra NFTs (click here for the leaderboard link).

summary

According to official information, due to the community's participation in the second phase of the activities, the test network has failed and the network has been shut down for repair. Therefore, it is recommended to collect Optimism Sepolia test tokens for free every day in preparation for future activities, and to pay attention to the notification of the second phase opening again in the official Discord.
