According to Buterin, the Ethereum community does not seek to control or censor the speech of other users. Even people who are unhappy with the protocol and ecosystem can express their thoughts without restrictions. As Buterin noted, the culture of Ethereum is that there is no attempt to stop people from speaking out. Some community members wave the "ideal of open debate" like a flag, while others take the issue seriously, the Ethereum co-founder wrote.

I'm really proud that ethereum does not have any culture of trying to prevent people from speaking their minds, even when they have very negative feelings toward major things in the protocol or ecosystem. Some wave the ideal of "open discourse" as a flag, some take it seriously.

According to TradingView, between April 28 and May 17, ETH dominance fell from 17.51% to 15.41%. The second most popular cryptocurrency is trying to recover from a pullback after hitting a yearly high of $4,093 in March. The altcoin is currently trading at $3,109 per coin.

Let us recall that in April, Vitalik Buterin proposed introducing a system of fines for large validators in order to strengthen the decentralization of the platform. He is also confident that L3 protocols can increase Ethereum throughput.
