Aiden Pleterski, known as Ontario's 'Crypto King', has been arrested on fraud and money laundering charges related to an alleged Ponzi scheme, following one of the most extensive fraud investigations the province has ever witnessed. Pleterski, 25, and his business partner Colin Murphy, 27, allegedly stole nearly $30 million from unknowing victims. 🚨

These charges stem from a 16-month investigation called 'Project Swan' conducted by Canadian authorities amid an ongoing bankruptcy case into the alleged scheme. This investigation included interviews with many victims, dozens of court orders and thousands of pages of financial documents. 🕵️‍♂️

What is important is that none of the allegations against Pleterski have been proven in court. It is stated that Pleterski was kidnapped, beaten and tortured by five people who claimed to be his victims last year. Pleterski was released after being held hostage for three days, but only after being pressured to produce money urgently.
