PANews reported on May 15 that yield aggregator Beefy said on the X platform that it had operated 9 Sonne vaults on Optimism (7) and Base (2). The team responded within minutes of the Sonne attack and suspended all of these vaults, effectively withdrawing about two-thirds of the funds from Sonne, but some Optimism vaults were affected, which means that users of the affected products suffered partial losses. The attack vector appears to be a problem specific to Compound forks and only affected Sonne's Optimism deployment. But the situation remains unstable and all Sonne vaults will remain suspended. Beefy will remain in contact with Sonne and will work with them to ensure that any funds are returned to affected Beefy users if any funds are recovered or any other compensation is provided.

Earlier today, it was reported that the SonneFinance project was attacked, with losses exceeding US$20 million.
