Ripple CEO Warns: USA Goes After This Cryptocurrency

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced that the US government is targeting Tether.

According to Ripple CEO, the US government went after Tether, the issuer of USDT.

Brad Garlinghouse said, “The US government went after Tether. This is clear to me. “I see Tether as a very important part of this ecosystem and I cannot predict how this will affect the rest of the ecosystem.” said.

Authorities in the US have determined that USDT is being used to bypass embargoes. In his statement last month, the US Deputy Treasury Secretary said that Russia has resorted to alternative payment methods such as Tether.

With a market value of approximately $110 billion, USDT is still the largest stablecoin in the market. Tether announced net income of $4.52 billion in the first quarter of the year.
