Saga reveals first “over 9,000 power level” airdrop of $10 million worth of tokens

Saga, a gaming-focused layer 1 blockchain, recently created a lot of hype for its mainnet and token launch by running a play-to-airdrop campaign and rewarding DeFi stakers on many other networks. together. Saga said the “Power-Level Over 9,000” airdrop campaign — named after the “Dragon Ball Z” that became an online meme — was first revealed in April and is based on partnerships with over 100 projects across various chains, including games and other decentralized applications.

The campaign will distribute token and NFT packages from those partners to SAGA holders who have staked tokens in the network. On Thursday, Saga revealed it had taken the first snapshot of SAGA token stakers for the wave of reward “vaults” sent to eligible users.

The snapshot was taken on April 26 at block 262,311 of the Saga network, and the network will eventually award 3 million SAGA—worth about $10.2 million at the current price of $3.4—to wallets. meet the criteria.

Any SAGA user who has staked more than 101 SAGA (worth more than $340 at current prices) or anyone who has staked at least 95% of their initial SAGA airdrop since the April 9 mainnet launch will earn rewards. Initial airdrop recipients who staked at least 95% of the drop will also receive a 4x “loyalty reward” for their token holdings and staking.

It's unclear when Saga will distribute these initial token rewards, although the network's team did add that the claims page will be open about a week before distribution.
