Why Tether Invested $200 Million In New Sector

Tether, the world's largest stablecoin company, announced that it has invested a whopping $200 million in a new sector.

Tether, the world's largest stablecoin issuer, has announced a major investment in Blackrock Neurotech, a company specializing in brain-computer interface technology.

The total investment of $200 million was made through the company's newly established venture capital arm, Tether Evo.

Brain-computer interface technology is becoming popular, largely thanks to the efforts of Elon Musk's company Neuralink.

Last month, Neuralink livestreamed an update showing a quadriplegic man playing video games using only his mind, as a demonstration of the technology's potential.

Tether CEO, Paolo Ardoino, had the following to say on the subject:

“Blackrock Neurotech represents a leap into the future where technology not only complements but enhances our human experience, and at Tether, we are proud to begin this journey with them.”
