On February 19, Ultiverse, a one-stop platform for Web3 game production and publishing invested by Binance Labs and driven by AI, announced the launch of Ulti-Pilot. Ulti-Pilot allows users to obtain points, SOUL, and other in-game assets of the Ultiverse ecosystem at zero cost.

According to the information disclosed by the team, the SOUL obtained by users in Ulti-Pilot will be exchanged for Ultiverse's governance token $ULTC at a ratio of 100:1 in the future. On February 26, the Ultiverse team announced that the airdrop reward on Ulti-Pilot will be increased from 3 billion SOUL to 10 billion SOUL, which means that 100 million $ULTC will be distributed to Ulti-Pilot users.

As the blockchain game industry becomes increasingly popular, is Ultiverse a project worth paying attention to? It can be observed that the floor price of Ultiverse's Genesis NFT Electric Sheep has climbed from 0.66ETH to 2.165ETH, and in the BIG BANG competition results announced by Blast the day before yesterday, the blockchain game BAC Game, which was once highly praised by Ultiverse, was one of the 47 winners selected from more than 3,000 projects. As of the time of writing, Ultiverse's Discord community has 320,000 members.

How can I experience the AI x Metaverse experience created by Ulti-Pilot and earn points and SOUL? Are there other ways to earn more $ULTC? How has the Ultiverse developed after nearly two years of construction? The BlockBeats author experienced the interactive process of Ulti-Pilot and interviewed early Ultiverse community players.

Ulti-Pilot: Create your own virtual world

Get SOUL and Pilot credits at zero cost

Ulti-Pilot is positioned as a portal for users to immerse themselves in the diverse gaming experience of Ultiverse. Ulti-Pilot creates randomness in the game through AI to enhance the player's gaming experience: with the power of AI, users can gradually shape their own virtual world and ultimately work with Ultiverse to create immersive experiences similar to those in movie masterpieces such as "Ready Player One", "Free Guy" and "Westworld".

Since last week, you can join Ulti-Pilot, create a character, and complete tasks to get SOUL rewards and Pilot points (points are used to increase the probability of getting SOUL). Currently, you need to enter an invitation code to experience Ulti-Pilot. There are two types of invitation codes, including Pilot Code and Invite code. The difference is that after registering with Pilot Code, 5 Invite codes can be generated, while after registering with Invite code, you need to wait until the first week of Ulti-Pilot's launch (February 27) to generate an invitation code.

According to the team, the Invite code will be opened tomorrow (February 27) (it has not been opened at the time of writing), and the "one code is hard to get" situation will be greatly improved. The invitation codes that each account can obtain are divided into 4 levels according to the Pilot points, and 5, 10, 20 and unlimited invitation codes can be obtained respectively. Inviting others will receive Pilot points rewards, and you can get 16% of the Pilot points owned by the first-level inviter and 8% of the Pilot points owned by the second-level inviter. BlockBeats provides five Invite codes here: gQ3DY, JbQ4l, olDTV, 56RjW, VmAeK.

Go to the official website https://pilot.ultiverse.io/, enter the invitation code and bind Twitter + wallet. It should be noted that if you have done other Ultiverse tasks before, the bound account should be consistent with the binding of Twitter, wallet and Discord when you registered the account before, otherwise it will not be able to bind.

In Ulti-Pilot, creating a character requires taking the "Finding Your Path" personality test. The four personality test questions are "Sensitive/Free/Curious", "Pragmatic/Socialist/Independent", "Responsible/Open-minded/Humorous", and "Practical/Suspicious/Selfless". After completing the test, the game will give you a suitable role based on the answers you choose, including government factions/corporate factions, etc.

After completing the test, click CONFIRM to mint the player character. This process requires OPBNB as a gas fee, which costs less than $0.1.

After creating a game character, you can explore Ulti-Pilot. Ulti-Pilot is designed to allow users to experience the experience of co-creating a virtual world with the AI of Ultiverse, so the interactions that can be performed also revolve around "exploration".

Click "Explore" to view all the scenes in the world. Players can send agents to explore different scenes every day to get rewards and unlock achievements. There are currently 5 worlds to explore: Terminus, Moonlight, Metamerge, cyber8ball and BAC.

When exploring, players can choose a single world or explore multiple worlds at the same time. In addition to exploring the main world of Teminus for free, players need to pay a certain amount of SOUL to interact on-chain in each game world, and the exploration mission is reset every 24 hours. After the exploration is completed, Pilot points and SOUL rewards will be automatically issued to the player's account, and the player can use the SOUL rewards to explore again. In addition to completing the "Misson" mission that is updated every day in the Ulti-Pilot game, players can also obtain SOUL by completing tasks on the Ultiverse mission platform and staking Electric Sheep.

Left: Ulti-Pilot's Misson page; Right: Ultiverse mission platform

It should be noted that the SOUL obtained from each exploration is random, and it is possible that you will spend SOUL on exploration but get nothing. So in this case, there are two ways to participate. Choose to complete MISSON every day to obtain SOUL, and then only participate in exploration tasks that do not require SOUL to obtain points, so that you will not lose SOUL. Or use all SOUL for exploration tasks to increase points and increase the probability of obtaining SOUL later. From the feedback of players, the situation of obtaining SOUL varies greatly, and its probability is related to the number of points, whether you have an Electric Sheep, etc.

Ulti-Pilot's World View

After all the operations, apart from knowing how to earn Pilot Points and SOUL, early players outside the Ultiverse community may still be a little confused. After all, they haven't seen common game combat mechanisms such as PVP, and don't know how to make money in the game. So, what is the concept of Ulti-Pilot's game design?

Ulti-Pilot is currently more like a portal with games as the carrier, allowing users to experience the imagination space created by the collision of AIx, Metaverse, and xWeb3, laying the foundation for the future development of Ultiverse.

From the initial character creation process, it can be felt that Ulti-Pilot hopes to shape a unique personalized AI agent through the user's "self-discovery" process, allowing users to explore the microcosm designed according to their own personality in the game (that is, the dApp launched in the Ultiverse ecosystem).

After entering the game, you will first read Ulti-Pilot's "World Story", from which you can learn about the historical worldview of Ultiverse. Since its launch, "World Story" has been updated every day. While the overall event line develops, each user's independent exploration journey will also generate a diary, which contains important events, characters encountered, and items obtained. Users will be able to integrate text, images, videos, AI NPCs, AI-generated maps and other elements to create their own virtual worlds through Ulti-Pilot.

World and personal stories available in Dairy

In addition, each user has a character, and the system will randomly select at least three users every day to participate in "World Story", allowing them to immerse themselves in the historical worldview development of Ultiverse and have the opportunity to win SOUL rewards.

The five worlds that users explore in Ulti-Pilot actually correspond to Ultiverse’s ecological projects or partners, including the integrated game portal Terminus, the virtual girlfriend Moonlight, the AIGC pet game Metamerge, the cyberpunk-themed PvP billiards game Cyber8Ball, and the Blast Big Bang champion game BAC Games.

Through a symbiotic relationship between AI and users, each microworld develops its unique worldview while maintaining a vital connection to the overarching storyline of the Ultiverse. This integrated approach, fueled by AI and community-driven narratives, enhances interoperability between microworlds.

According to the team, the diary function is just the first step towards an autonomous world. Ultiverse will then launch an AI-driven virtual world that is tailored to the worldview of each microcosm and allows users to interact with NPCs.

After two years of planning, Ultiverse wants to be the first MetaFi

In Ulti-Pilot, in addition to SOUL and Pilot points, the achievements that users obtain also include props assets from other games in the Ultiverse ecosystem. What are these assets used for? Although the team has not yet released specific information, it can be understood from the Ultiverse ecosystem.

It is understood that members of the Ultiverse core team have participated in the development of famous games such as "Ancient Rings", "Prince of Persia", and "Assassin's Creed". In 2022, Ultiverse received a $4.5 million seed round of financing led by Binance Labs and Defiance Capital, with participation from Three Arrows Capital and SkyVision Capital, and later received an additional $5 million equity investment from Binance Labs.

Ultiverse ecosystem early community member Big Universe player told BlockBeats, "I started paying attention to Ultiverse when Binance made additional equity investment, and participated in the minting of Genesis NFT Electric Sheep at that time." In the past two years, Ultiverse's layout has been very pragmatic. On the one hand, Ultiverse has expanded its game partners based on its mission platform Mission Runner (Electric Sheep holders can enjoy airdrop incentives from Ultiverse partners). Big Universe players learned about and deeply experienced Meta Merge, a pet chain game that combines AIGC technology, through Ultiverse.

On the other hand, on the basis of maintaining ecological operation and user activity, Ultiverse continues to lay out its metaverse ecology and has successively released two NFT assets, Electric Sheep and MoonLight. In addition to being able to obtain airdrops from partners, these assets also play an important role in Ultiverse's metaverse worldview.

The relationship between Ultiverse and its ecosystem partners initially manifested itself in Ultiverse helping these games with marketing and promotion, attracting Ultiverse users through airdrop incentives. However, Ultiverse is not limited to being a one-stop platform for games, but hopes to use Web3, AI and VR technologies to build a MetaFi platform where each game represents a micro world. To this end, Ultiverse created the Bodhi protocol to connect these micro worlds in a generative artificial intelligence way.

Ultiverse Product Architecture

Ulti-Pilot is the entrance to this MetaFi, which serves not only game players but also each microworld itself. As shown in the figure below, a player's DID is a representation of its transfer between different microworlds, carrying information such as its role, abilities, history, relationships, etc. In another scenario, a game studio that designs a microworld can also build a pilot to communicate with other microworlds and broadcast/exchange information.

Therefore, as a bridge between players and the microcosm in the Bodhi protocol, Ulti-Pilot plays a vital role in the Ultiverse ecosystem. This time, the Ulti-Pilot airdrop quota accounts for 1/8 of the Ultiverse airdrop share.

On February 14 this year, Ultiverse completed another strategic round of financing of US$4 million. The lineup of investors in this round is also very impressive. IDG Capital led the investment, and Animoca Brands, Polygon Ventures, MorningStar Ventures, Taiko, ZetaChain, Manta Network, DWF Ventures, Jacob KO (Superscrypt partner), FreeLunchCapital (Floor Protocol founder) and other investors participated. After this round of financing, Ultiverse's financing will reach US$150 million.

It can be seen that Ultiverse has a very grand vision and has made many explorations in the direction of MetaFi. However, so far, the AI metaverse concept on Ulti-Pilot has only been conveyed to the user end in the generation of text and pictures in daily stories; the interaction with its ecological partner Dapps "micro world" is also just interactive tasks such as following Twitter and joining Discord.
