Hosted by Cryptogram Venture (CGV), initiated by Keio University, MetaFocus, and TEAMZ, and co-sponsored by CoinW Labs, the first roadshow of the 2nd Tokyo Web3 Spring Hackathon (TWSH) ended on May 17 Curtain. CoinW Labs works with Web3 elites from around the world to discover more potential projects and help more high-quality Web3 projects grow rapidly.

The second TWSH event is positioned as "based in Japan, looking at the world", hoping to discover, support and help outstanding talents and teams in the Web3 field worldwide, jointly explore the application potential of various tracks of Web3, and help teams and projects get started and achieve sustainable growth. The event has received support from dozens of well-known global blockchain industry institutions including CoinW Labs.

In terms of project solicitation, it not only covers popular Web3 tracks such as DeFi, GameFi, Metaverse, NFT, SocialFi, but also focuses on innovative trends such as zero-knowledge proof (ZK), encryption AI fusion, innovative stablecoins, DePIN (decentralized physical infrastructure network), Soul Bound Tokens (SBT), fully on-chain games, and new social applications.

On the first roadshow day on the afternoon of the 17th, 10 projects from around the world were divided into three groups, explaining the project attributes, development plans or financing plans to investors in turn. At the same time, the organizers also invited several local and global Web3 professionals to hold three roundtable forums to discuss issues such as Japan's opportunities and challenges in the Web3 era, the development forecast of Web3 and encryption in the next ten years, and the current status of venture capital in the Web3 era. Among them, Carmen Tan, strategic manager of CoinW Labs, was invited to participate in the roundtable forum and shared his views on how to build a crypto economy, expand the audience of Web3, and withstand the storm in the next 10 years.

CoinW Labs, the co-organizer of this event, is also participating in the hackathon for the first time. According to official data, CoinW Labs was established in early 2022 and is committed to building a world-class distributed ecological incubation laboratory, providing industry-leading and professional global blockchain investment incubation services to accelerate builders and achieve sustainable growth and development in the blockchain field. The business focuses on GameFi, NFT, DeFi and other fields. Since its establishment, it has discovered and incubated 300+ potential projects, achieving an overall financial return on investment of more than 20 times, and has been recognized by the industry for its high coverage and high efficiency services.

The head of CoinW Labs said that hackathon can be said to be "the coolest developer carnival in the world" and is also the easiest occasion to discover "geniuses". CoinW Labs hopes that through hackathon competitions, it can discover and cultivate more talents and high-quality projects in the Web3 field, further improve the Web3 ecosystem, bring better experience and diverse usage scenarios to users, and contribute to the sustainable development of the industry.

It is understood that the second TWSH will be held from April to June, and will help more projects obtain financing opportunities through online + offline roadshows. In the end, one champion group, two second-place groups, and six third-place groups will be selected, with a total prize of 10 million USDT. In addition to cash rewards, the winning projects will also have the opportunity to receive millions of dollars in additional investment.

Web3 is seen as an opportunity to achieve "Internet value interconnection". The construction and development of the Web3 ecosystem requires a stronger and more revolutionary project ecosystem. The Web3 Hackathon is undoubtedly a great opportunity to discover and support outstanding talents/teams and high-quality projects in the Web3 field worldwide, and jointly explore the huge development space of Web3.
