Introduction. Part 1

MY NAME IS NASTYA, AND I'M FROM UKRAINE. 🇺🇦

What led me to the world of cryptocurrencies?

I'll start from afar. Cryptocurrency used to seem like a regular pyramid scheme to me, I think everyone from the post-Soviet space remembers MMM and Mavrodi. I didn't see crypto as a type of digital currency, as an investment; until 2022, it seemed like a financial pyramid to me.

When did I change my mind?

I've been an entrepreneur for 8 years, business was going well, every 2-3 months I went to the sea, traveled. On February 24, 2022, like every Ukrainian, I woke up to the sound of rockets exploding near my home, the roar of Russian helicopters. I used to keep money in cash, in the bank, and had a large deposit in hryvnia in the bank.

But on February 24, everything changed. The term of the deposit in the national currency was expiring in just 2 months. Buying dollars was impossible. My company couldn't work either. I paid taxes and rent for commercial premises every month because I understood how important it was for the economy of Ukraine. I also physically and financially helped to prevent the occupation of Kyiv and the region.

A few months later, the situation stabilized in the Kyiv region, thanks to our defenders and the help of allied countries 🙏🏻 But the economic situation deteriorated significantly, and when I withdrew my deposit and decided to buy dollars, I realized that due to the difference in exchange rates, I lost more than $8,000.

At that moment, I realized how unstable physical currency is and how it is tied to the geopolitical and economic situation in the country. Yes, I didn't realize this before, probably because of my age.

And I began to explore investment options so that my hard-earned money would not depreciate at least.
