According to Foresight News, the Central Bank of Argentina (BCRA) announced that it would ban payment platforms from providing digital assets such as Bitcoin to customers. The announcement stated that this move is aimed at mitigating the risks that the use of encrypted assets may bring to financial service users and the national payment system.
Previously, in May 2021, the Central Bank of Argentina and the National Securities Commission (CNV) issued an alert on crypto assets and advised investors to exercise caution.
