Today, the Kucoin crypto exchange on Twitter was compromised for 45 minutes, resulting in the loss of assets for several users.

“Kucoin will fully refund all confirmed asset losses caused by social media hacks and fake activity,” the exchange’s support team said after regaining access to the Twitter account.

The exchange identified 22 transactions that interacted with fraudulent tweets, resulting in a total loss of approximately $22,638. “To prevent more users from being harmed, we are currently reviewing and blocking suspicious addresses,” Kucoin wrote on Twitter.

Although Kucoin's Twitter account has been compromised, it claims that assets on the exchange remain safe. It also claims that it is "conducting a thorough investigation into the Twitter incident to prevent similar incidents in the future."
