According to Foresight News, CoinDesk reported that the Saga mobile phone launched by Solana Labs will be publicly available on May 8, and the pre-sold mobile phones have been shipped. The phone costs $1,000, has 512 GB of storage space, two multi-function rear cameras, a 6.67-inch OLED display and a fingerprint scanner, and uses the Android operating system.
Solana said that what makes Saga different is the "Solana Mobile Stack (SMS)", a series of custom add-ons that integrate cryptocurrency practicality into the hardware and software of the phone, including sending, receiving, trading and storing cryptocurrency on the device. In addition, Saga stores user private keys separately from other data for increased security and installs an app store where DApps can be downloaded.
