According to CNBC, oil prices fell Tuesday as renewed diplomatic efforts to end the U.S.-Iran war raised hopes of de-escalation and eased concerns about energy supplies. Brent crude futures for December delivery slipped 0.87% to $114.80 a barrel, while June West Texas Intermediate futures declined 0.86% to $100.88. The pullback followed talks in Tehran on Monday among Saudi, Turkish, Pakistani and Iranian officials, who agreed to continue engaging to advance regional peace and security, according to Iranian state media. Qatar representatives also traveled to Tehran on Sunday to support negotiations between Washington and Tehran. Losses were limited as Iran-backed Houthi militants continued attacks on Saudi Arabia over the weekend and prospects for a lasting resolution remained fragile.
