$Droopy
Droopy Coin ($DROOPY)
An apathetic, brilliant, and legendary basset hound from animation is now on the blockchain!
Character Story
The Origin: Created by the legendary Tex Avery, the character first appeared in 1943 in the short Dumb-Hounded. Originally named Happy Hound in the Our Gang Comics (illustrated by Carl Barks), he only received the official name Droopy in 1949, in the short Señor Droopy.
Animation Myth: Produced by Fred Quimby (the same producer of Tom and Jerry), Droopy became famous for defeating the diabolical Wolf by calmly showing up wherever the villain fled—always maintaining his discredited, tired stance and the iconic line: “You know what? I’m happy...”
Legacy in Pop Culture: From MGM screens to Hanna-Barbera (where he got a son named Dripple in Tom & Jerry Kids and his own series Droopy, Master Detective), the character also shined on the big screen in Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Tom & Jerry: The Movie.
Why the Token $DROOPY?
Indestructible and Inevitable: No matter where the market goes or how hard they try to bring it down, Droopy always shows up at the top at the end.
Memetic Resilience: With his “life-weary” charm, Droopy is the perfect mascot for anyone who rides out the crypto market with coolness and calm.
